Yoga is so much deeper than the picturesque poses that we see all over social media. They’re fun and beautiful, but they are only one of the eight limbs of a yoga practice. Think of these limbs as eight branches on a tree, all equally contributing to the strength and beauty of the tree. These limbs include concepts such as meditation, breath work, concentration, and poses that have proven over the course of millennia to help bring our stressed bodies and minds into balance.
